As a Professor at Naba Academy in Milan, Marco Mancuso was invited at the Symposium as a guest lecturer. Celebrating the 30 years of the Nuova Accademia delle Belle Arti – New Academy of Fine Arts in Milan, NABA, and as part of our blueprint program aimed at exploring the relations among culture, art and technologies, the PhD Program of the Planetary Collegium’s M-Node and the NABA School of Media Design & New Media Art, in collaboration with NoemaLab are organizing a 3-day meeting on December 16 – 18, 2010, in Milan @NABA to challenge, foresee and debate in a subversive, non linear, anarchic and non academic free way, future strategies and forms of education in Media, Art & Design and the role of the research and production spaces for artists and creative professionals working with technologies.

Marco Mancuso was invited by "Roma Tre" University to present his Videoscreening "Hidden Worlds", the fruit of his research on the Audiovisual Art/Science which started in 2008 with the essay written for Bruce Sterling's Fabrica Workshop, continued with the lecture taken at Museo della Scienza in Naples in 2009 and fixed with the curatorship at Sincronie Festival 2009. On April 16th 2010, the exhibition Globalne Ocieplenie / The MediaGate curated by Marco Mancuso and Claudia D'Alonzo for Digicult and Michal Brzezinski, opened at Galerie NT / Imaginarium in Lodz. In the Polish city that gave birth to the director Zbigniew Rybczynski, home to one of the most prestigious film schools in Europe (Państwowa Wyższa Szkoła Filmowe, Telewizyjna the Teatralna PWSFTviT), beloved by David Lynch that here directed much of his masterpiece Inland Empire, Digicult and Galeria NT / Imaginarium organize an exhibition focusing on a series of works, installations, videos, net art and software art projects, performances that reflect on the re-actualization of the relationship between digital and analog media, about the possible control they exercise on the fragile social contemporary mechanism, as well as the possibilities offered by art to detect the keys to understanding of an increasingly technologically "mediated" reality.

The Hidden Worlds exhibition celebrates one of the most fascinating yet obscure territories of artistic audiovisual contemporary research: the relation between art and science as the last chapter of Marco Mancuso's research on the aesthetic and technical potentialities of contemporary audiovisual research.The video screening produces works that induce into a critical reflection on the existing relation between audiovisual contemporary artistic research (as regards to cinema, video and digital experiences) and applied sciences.
